Our Team's Furry Friends

Margo - The Mighty

Margo - MY07

Dr. Doug adopted Margo in February 2007 as a rescue from Kennel Inn, and she took on the role of being our hospital greeter and mascot.  Margo had been going to Elaine's house for the holidays, since being at the hospital, and during Christmas 2009 she became a permanent resident of their clan.  Margo has now retired from her role at LVH, and has passed this onto Lady G, our new greeter, mascot and clinic cat.

Margo is enjoying a life of luxury and being spoiled rotten.  Carli and Connor love having her around, and Margo is getting use to living  life with two yellow labs!  Elaine's family love having Margo around and enjoy all of her antics and attention seeking missions.

Carli, Oli, and Connor - The McCullough Clan

Connor Carli and Oli

Carli, a yellow lab; Oliver, a manx cat, and Connor, another yellow lab and the most recent addition to the family, live with Elaine, Dave and their two children.  The McCullough's are all enjoying the funny antics and life with Carli, Connor and Oli.  Carli is being the typical big sister and watching out for Connor and everything he does.  Carli is also great in teaching Connor about how things work and all of the regular routines in his new home.  Carli is well known in the neighbourhood as she is often seen playing with many of the neighbourhood kids.  Her gentle dispositon and love of kids and people, make her the perfect campanion for Elaine's family, and all of the neighbours!  Some of Carli's tricks include opening the screen door to let her self back into the house, being bell trained to ask to go outside, helping to carry in the groceries, as well as many others.  One of everyone's favourite tricks, of Carli's, is her very unusual crawl, she drags herself with only her front paws and doesn't use her back legs at all.  Carli loves peanut butter, any kind of water including ponds, creeks, mudpuddles (Elaine thinks she has GPS for this) and on the cleaner side the shower or bath.  Carli also loves yogurt, apple sauce,  blueberries, and one of her favourite treats is mini carrots.

Connor is just a lab puppy full of life and has a great interest in life and everything new.  He is busy learning his manners, routine and that Oliver is not a stuffed toy!!  Connor is being crate trained but loves to curl up with everyone whenever possible.  Connor is doing well with his training and also rings the bell to go outside when he needs to.  Connor is a lot shyer than his bigger sister but has been going out frequently to meet people and experience things outside of the house and clinic.

Unfortunately, Oliver (the orange manx cat) seen with Carli and Connor passed away last September.  He was the oldest member of the furry McCullough clan and lived to be 19 1/2 years of age.  Oliver was quite the adventurer in his younger days and enjoyed riding on Elaine's shoulder or playing in the entertainment unit.  Oliver use to open the cupboard drawers and some doors, so you always have to be careful with what was in them as he will would help himself.  One of Oliver's favourite adventures is helping himself to pipe cleaners that are hidden in a cupboard drawer.  You would often come home and find the bottom drawer pulled out and all of the pipe cleaners missing. Oliver is sadly missed and often thought of by the McCullough family.

Jazzie & Rustee

Jazzie and Rustee sleeping

Brooklyn and Jazzie love playing on the weekends.  Jazzie just loves Brooklyn as she is Brooklyn's little baby.  Jazzie is such a gentle girl and just loves being in the doll bed, being pushed around in the doll stroller and all of the extra attention she gets.  Jazzie belongs to Kristina Swabuk, is spoiled rotten and is known around the clinic as "A Little Princess".  Jazzie shares her house with Rustee another Jack Russel Terrier, and 2 cats Butters and Biscuit.  And as all our clients coming into the clinic recently knew about Jazzie's surgery, yes Jazzie got through surgery with flying colours.  Mommy settled down by the end of the day!!!
