Dr. Doug LeGallais
|
Dr. Doug graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1996. Prior to graduating from OVC, he also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science, with a minor in Biochemistry, from the University of Guelph. Dr. Doug initially worked with his father, Dr. David LeGallais, co-founder of LeGallais Veterinary Hospital, at St. Clair Veterinary Facilities in Toronto, until LeGallais Veterinary Hospital Aurora opened its doors in May of 1999.
Dr. Doug is a member of the College of Ontario Veterinarians (CVO), Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) and the Canadian Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Doug has special interests in Internal Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation, Dermatology and Pain Management. Dr. Doug is also dedicated to working with Golden RescueTM, a non-profit rescue organization that has been dedicated to helping, caring for and finding homes for Golden Retrievers since 1990.
Dr. Doug grew up in King City until he started high school, at which time his family moved to Barrie. Dr. Doug now resides in Aurora with his wife Ornella, their two sons Benjamin and Tyler, dogs Timmy, Maggie and Posey, cats Bocce and Sabrina, two guinea pigs, three turtles, and many fish. When Dr. Doug is not busy at work or at home, he enjoys being outdoors, walking the trails, going to the gym and cycling. Dr. Doug has always enjoyed all sports, with a particular love for hockey. Because of Dr. Doug’s love of sports, LeGallais Veterinary Hospital has sponsored various sports teams within the community.

Dr. Nora Formandl
Dr. Nora graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1991 and has been working at LeGallais Veterinary Hospital full-time since February 2006. Dr. Nora’s previous employment with a small animal practice in Unionville, gives her more then 15 years experience in serving that community’s needs successfully.
Dr. Nora is a member of the College of Ontario Veterinarians (CVO), as well as the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine (TAVM). Dr. Nora has a special interest in cat rescue, as this is how she, her partner Andy, and Andy’s son Julian, have acquired their 4 cats; Puss, Muddy, Shnoogie, and Booboo.
Dr. Nora was born in Prague and immigrated in 1970, as a child with her family, to Saskatchewan Canada. Dr. Nora is bilingual, and when she is not busy working she loves to spend her time reading, knitting, baking, camping and doing home renovations. In the nicer weather Dr. Nora can often be seen riding her motorcycle to work.
Dr. Jacqui Adamek

Dr. Jacqui graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999 and also has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Guelph. After graduating from OVC, she worked in a small animal hospital in St. John’s Newfoundland for 1 year and fell in love with this area. Dr. Jacqui often returns to Newfoundland, for vacation as she considers it to be her second home. After leaving Newfoundland she returned home, working in small animal hospitals, in Holland Landing and Thornhill, enjoying all aspects of a small animal practice.
Dr. Jacqui is a member of the College of Ontario Veterinarians (CVO), Ontario Medical Association (OVMA), and the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine (TAVM).
Dr. Jacqui was born in Toronto, grew up in Bradford, and recently married to her husband Shawn, now resides in Aurora with their cat CiCi. This past summer, she participated in the inaugural “Ride to Conquer Cancer” benefiting Princess Margaret Hospital. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a 2 day bicycle event where participants ride over 200 km from Toronto to Niagara Falls. Dr. Jacqui enjoys gardening, cooking, travelling, camping and spending time at the family cottage. Also, she is a member of The Pine Tree Potters Guild of Aurora, and sold her first piece of pottery in the Guild’s 2008 spring sale in Aurora.
